This is one of the biggest features I have been waiting to build — and it is finally live.
Retirement Snapshots let you save a copy of your retirement numbers anytime something changes in your financial life. Got a raise? Save a snapshot. Increased your 403(b) contributions? Save a snapshot. Switched to a lower-fee vendor? Snapshot. Paid off a car? Snapshot.
Think of it like a financial photo album. Each snapshot captures exactly where you stand on that date — your salary, savings rate, portfolio balance, pension estimate, income gap, projected retirement balance, and gap status. All in one card.
But here is where it gets powerful: once you have two or more snapshots, you can compare any two side by side. You will see arrows showing what went up, what went down, and by how much. Watching your income gap shrink over time? That is the whole point of this course — and now you can actually see it happening.
How to use it:
1. Go to your Retirement Illustration page
2. Scroll to the bottom and click 📸 Save Snapshot
3. Visit Retirement Snapshots in your toolkit to see all your saved snapshots
4. Select any two and hit Compare Selected to see your progress
I recommend saving your first snapshot today — it is your starting point. Then come back anytime something changes. Over time, you will build a timeline of your entire retirement journey. That is not just education — that is accountability.
The modules teach you what to do. The snapshots prove it is working.
