📋 Terms of Service

Welcome to TeacherFinCoach LLC. By accessing or using our website (teacherfincoach.com), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Account & Access

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials (magic link access).
• You must be at least 18 years old to use TeacherFinCoach.
• One account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.

Trial Access

• New users receive a 7-day free trial with access to Modules 1–3 and select calculators.
• No credit card is required for the trial.
• Trial access expires automatically after 7 days.

Payment & Lifetime Access

• Full access to all 10 modules, all 6 calculators, AI Coach Marty, and the personalized Retirement Illustration PDF is available for a one-time payment of $99.
• Payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record.
• "Lifetime access" means access for as long as TeacherFinCoach LLC operates the platform. We reserve the right to discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
• Prices are subject to change for new customers. Existing paid users retain access at their original purchase price.

Refund Policy

TeacherFinCoach LLC offers a 7-day free trial so you can evaluate the platform before purchasing. Because you have the opportunity to try before you buy, all sales are final. No refunds will be issued after purchase.

Acceptable Use

• You may not redistribute, resell, or share your account access with others.
• You may not scrape, copy, or reproduce course content for commercial use.
• Personal use of downloaded materials (Retirement Illustration PDF, notes) is permitted.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of TeacherFinCoach LLC after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, including but not limited to sharing account credentials, redistributing course content, or engaging in abusive behavior. No refund will be issued for terminated accounts.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of TeacherFinCoach LLC shall be resolved in the courts of the State of California.

🔒 Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This section explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

• Account information: Email address and first name (provided during trial signup).
• Profile information: Teaching state, salary, years of service, retirement age, pension estimate, savings goals, and account balances (provided during paid profile completion). This data is used solely to generate your personalized Retirement Illustration.
• Payment information: Processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or other payment details on our servers.
• Usage data: Module completion progress stored in our database.
• AI chatbot conversations: Conversations with Coach Marty AI are processed by Google's Gemini API. Conversation data is not permanently stored or used for training.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and personalize the TeacherFinCoach experience (modules, calculators, Retirement Illustration PDF).
• To send transactional emails (magic link login, trial reminders, purchase confirmation) via Resend.
• To send optional marketing emails (newsletter, tips) via Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To improve our platform and content.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate TeacherFinCoach:

• Supabase — User authentication and secure data storage.
• Lemon Squeezy — Payment processing (merchant of record). See Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery (login links, reminders).
• Mailchimp — Marketing email delivery (newsletters).
• Google Gemini API — AI chatbot (Coach Marty) processing.
• Vercel — Website hosting.
• Google Analytics — Anonymized website usage analytics.

Data Retention

• Your profile data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.
• Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

Your Rights

• You may request a copy of your stored data at any time.
• You may request deletion of your account and personal data.
• You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Cookies & Local Storage

TeacherFinCoach uses browser localStorage to auto-save form progress (such as profile completion). This data stays on your device and is cleared after submission. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data. We do not use any other third-party tracking cookies.

AI-generated content does not reflect the views or guidance of any licensed financial professional. TeacherFinCoach LLC is not liable for decisions made based on AI chatbot responses. Users should independently verify any information provided by the AI chatbot before acting on it.

Our calculators and the personalized Retirement Illustration PDF provide hypothetical projections based on user inputs and assumptions. These projections:
